American Business Women’s Day Celebrates Female Professionalism, Empowerment

American Business Women’s Day is Sept. 22. Although not an official public holiday, its one that’s important to us at Focus Marketing & PR, and to the 76.6 million women currently working within the U.S.¹

It wasn’t long ago the working world was mainly a man’s world. In this day in age, women work because they can and for many, because they must. At last count, the U.S. Department of Labor tallied nearly 41% of women as the primary or co-breadwinner for their families, and the U.S. Census Bureau estimated 1.1 million employer firms in health care, social assistance and retail (to name a few) as owned by women. 

We’re fairly big fans of these numbers. So, from a woman-owned business to your woman-owned business or female working-self, we applaud you. Not only for your dedication, but for modeling there’s no end to what women can do.
