Thorough communication is always key to successful partnerships. And in uncertain times, such as these,…
We recently had the privilege to attend an evening fundraiser for Night Lights. It was a fantastic event and a great opportunity for all the parents to have a night out. There were 220 people in attendance, which was double last year’s turnout!
The fundraiser kicked off with a silent auction. There were some very in-demand items, including a signed Peyton Manning jersey, a ball autographed by Demaryius Thomas, rounds of golf, baseball memorabilia, and donations from local restaurants. The auction was a great success, with over $8000 raised.
After the auction, guests helped themselves to food from Texas Roadhouse (who generously donated the buffet) and sat down to hear from the MC, the pastor of the church where Night Lights is held, and a few families of children with special needs.
One of the most moving stories of the evening was shared by a family with twin boys who are both autistic. Before they found Night Lights, they had not had a night out in several years. It was a great affirmation of the work Night Lights does.
All in all, it was a very uplifting and informative evening! If you are interested in attending Night Lights or supporting their mission, you can find more information on their website.
