We don’t exactly have a crystal ball or even a magic 8 ball (for those of us who experienced the 80’s as a kid) but we do have some thoughts about what will happen this year in the world of marketing and PR.
Drum roll, please. Here are our predictions for 2015:
- At the core of everything, nothing beats a strong brand. This will not change as we enter 2015. Now more than ever, companies with strong brands will have more success when it comes to getting new customers and keeping old clients. So, all we can tell you is know your brand, what it stands for and shout it to the rooftops!
- Social media is going to continue to be important in the coming year. While we have our doubts about social media truly “making money” for businesses, it can be a powerful tool to communicate with your customers. If you don’t use it yet, you may want to think about integrating it into your strategy for next year.
- PR can be very tricky – there are so many things out there that are competing with your story! We believe that in order to have a successful PR campaign, you need to have a story to tell that is important both to your local community as well as nationally. That is not going to change in 2015. However, we feel that in the new year, PR stories that are truly unique are going to break through all of the clutter.
- And one final prediction is that it is going to be a great year for all of us in the Focus Family – we are entering this year with a level of excitement that we have yet to experience. Hooray for 2015!
