FOUNDER/OWNER

Following a career as a producer and sports reporter for NewsRadio 850 KOA in the Denver Metro Area, Niki found her true passion—marketing—after accepting a position as the marketing director for a small, family-owned contracting company. Niki was then hired as a franchise marketing consultant for a large national franchise organization, which led her to discover her true talent and love for consulting with franchise owners on how to make their local markets work for them.

Niki founded Focus in 2009 after recognizing the need for a boutique online marketing and public relations firm in Denver. Using her extensive media contacts along with her native-born knowledge of Colorado and the Denver market, Niki built Focus to fit her original vision of helping business owners achieve their dreams and goals through smart and effective marketing and PR strategies.

Niki currently resides just north of Denver with her husband Cory, her three kids, Brooks, Teddy and Julian, and her golden retriever, Leo. In her free-time, she is an avid reader and enjoys yoga, coffee and being a baseball mom.

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Cory Lopez, a native of Gering, NE, has over 30 years of experience in broadcasting news and sports. He currently serves as play-by-play voice of the University of Colorado Women’s Basketball Program and is an adjunct professor at CU in the journalism department. Cory joined the Focus Marketing & PR team in 2019 to bring his production and voice talents to the team. He also serves as an Account Manager for several of our marketing and public relations clients. In his personal life, Cory has three kids, aged 12, 10 and 4, and he enjoys golfing, coaching his son’s baseball team and playing softball.

BOOKKEEPER AND ADWORDS MANAGER

Jo has several roles at Focus, but as Niki’s mother, she also deserves credit for Focus’s very existence! Jo was born in Philadelphia, but moved to Colorado at the age of nine. When Niki and her brother were small, Jo started an in-home daycare, which she ran for 14 years. Then she helped her husband run Genesee Heating and Cooling (GHC) for 20 years. After selling GHC in 2007, she started her own consulting businesses to help share her extensive knowledge of business operations.

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Bringing her passion for marketing and helping others, Brooke joined the Focus team in 2022. She has worn multiple hats throughout her career and education experience, including president of a nonprofit chapter, government certification intern, project management intern, education coach, philanthropy chair, and now, account manager. Driven by helping others succeed and a passion for unleashing creativity through business, Brooke loves providing support to clients in meeting their organization’s unique goals.

Brooke is a Colorado native and attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned her Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Strategy and Entrepreneurship. She is a proud mom of her 3-year-old son, Asher, and 4-year-old Pitbull mix, Lulu. She enjoys spending time with her family, baking, reading, writing, golfing, and enjoying Colorado sunshine.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND OWNER OF BLUEFISH DESIGNS, LLC

Susan was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri (Go Tigers!) and moved to Colorado in the mid-90’s. She has extensive experience in Art and Design, including a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Missouri and 20+ years in graphic design and marketing.

Art and Design have been a part of Susan’s life since she could hold a crayon in her hand. She loves everything about the creative process and is inspired by many things: nature, traveling, her friends and family, clients, other artists, designers and stylists, and everyday beauty in the world. Her career in graphic design and marketing has given her a strong skill-set in branding, styling, organization, and project management. She is passionate about helping fellow entrepreneurs create strong visuals that reflect their company’s story.

In her free time, she enjoys walking her dog, Stella, thrifting or antiquing, sitting by a river with her husband or binge watching a new series while sipping a glass of wine.

COPYWRITER

Kendra is a copywriter, content creator, and product marketer who believes that words matter. She approaches every project like a puzzle, carefully choosing which words work best and where they should go. She’s passionate about helping businesses and individuals find their voice so they can express their ideas and concepts through words.

Kendra is based in Denver and loves all things outdoors including backpacking, hiking, snowboarding, and scuba diving. Her other hobbies include travel, reading, photography, live music, and checking out Colorado’s food scene.
