Labor Day: A Fond Farewell to Summer

Labor Day was Sept. 5. For some, it marks the unofficial close of summer; for others, it’s a day away from work and learning obligations. Whatever your explanation for the federal holiday, the formal one lists the annual observance as a day to ‘honor and recognize the American labor movement, and the works and contributions of laborers in the U.S.’

Whether you got a day of rest or play, or you stick to routine, Focus Marketing & PR wishes you a wondrous end to summer and glorious start to whatever’s next. We hope you partake in retail mania (the 3-day weekend is said to be one of the most important for the retail industry), weekend BBQs (lots of seasonal produce ready for the eating) and last minute getaways (more than 12 million U.S. travelers were expected to fly). And remember, the age-old rule prohibiting ‘white after Labor Day’ is no longer a thing, so wear your white pants, shirts and suits, any time you please!
